Some of you may have seen recent reports of the Zune Device Sync Diagnostic Tool that we just issued. I spoke with the dev teams and just want to set some context for folks. First, it’s a tool that we designed for our customer service team. The tool helps customer service staffers diagnose specific issues with Zune sync connections, either USB or wireless. So, we (the Zune team) recommend using the tool only when instructed by a Microsoft support person for best results.
